Zafrknjača

Zafrknjača is a bread made from leavened dough, twisted at the edges. It is filled with cottage cheese and topped with juicy apples from the nearby orchard. Cumin or savory can also be added if desired. Juicy, traditional, and divinely good.

Ocvirkovka

It is also called špehovka – quite an ungrateful name for such an excellent dish! Some also call it ocvirkova potica, ocvirkovca … It is an old Slovenian (holiday) specialty made from simple leavened or risen dough. The dough is rolled out and generously spread with sour cream. Warm cracklings and pieces of sausage are evenly sprinkled on top. For shine, the roll is brushed with egg. We can hardly wait for it to bake.

Kozjanska kruhova potica

This is an old Slovenian specialty made from pulled dough with a juicy filling of bread, sweet cream, eggs, and raisins. An extraordinarily rich bread, layered with walnut and egg filling. It is a festive dish that can easily compete with the finest cakes.
